What makes a good photo?
One pet, close up, in good light, with their eyes in view. Use the original photo from your phone if you can: screenshots and photos sent through messaging apps are often too small.
No people in the photo, please (hands holding a lead or a toy count as people), and no studio watermarks, logos or characters.
Size and canvas
20 × 25 cm, a little smaller than a sheet of A4 paper. That's about 8 × 10 inches, on a slim canvas, printed to order.
Your pet's head and shoulders in a soft watercolour style on a plain cream background, with their name if you add one.
Returns and your rights
You see a preview before we print. Ask for changes and we'll remake it free, up to 2 times. If you still don't love it, tell us before we print and we'll refund you in full.
Once printed, it can't be returned for a change of mind. If it arrives damaged or faulty, or doesn't show your pet as in your photo, email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We'll reprint it, or refund you in full if you'd rather. After 30 days you still have your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

How your portrait is made, and what we do
We'd rather be plain about it: your portrait is created digitally, not drawn or painted by hand.

How it's made
Your photo is turned into a head-and-shoulders portrait in one soft, watercolour style, on a plain cream background.

What we do
We check each portrait against your photo before it's printed: the same pet, the same markings and eye colour, nothing missing or added. If it isn't right, we make it again. Then we add your pet's name in a printed font and size it for the canvas.

What we don't do
We don't use your photo in our marketing, and we don't use it to train image software. The name is never generated: we add it ourselves.
Delivery
Delivery, plainly
Usually 5–7 working days
Your preview arrives by email within 1 working day. Once you approve it, your portrait usually arrives in 5–7 working days. These are estimates, not guarantees.
Free delivery
There's no delivery charge on pet portraits: the price you see is the price you pay. We deliver to most of Great Britain. If we can't deliver to your address, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
Christmas
For delivery before Christmas, order by 12 December and reply to your preview promptly. This is the date we recommend, based on our print partner's Christmas schedule.
Returns and your rights
Made for you, and put right if something's wrong
Made just for you
You approve a preview before anything is printed, and we'll remake it free up to 2 times. Once printed, it can't be returned for a change of mind (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg 28(1)(b)). This doesn't affect your rights if something's wrong.
If something's wrong
By law, your canvas must match its description and be of satisfactory quality. If it arrives damaged or faulty, or doesn't show your pet as in your photo, email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We'll reprint it, or refund you in full if you'd rather. You don't need to send it back unless we ask. After 30 days you still have your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If your photo can't be used
If your photo shows people, looks like a professional or watermarked photo, includes logos or characters, or isn't clear enough to show your pet faithfully, we'll ask you for another one or refund you in full. We won't make anything from a photo we can't use.
Lost in the post
If your canvas doesn't arrive, tell us and we'll reprint it or refund you.

Straight answers
Is my portrait drawn by hand?
No. Portraits are created digitally using AI tools. We check every portrait against your photo before it's printed.
Will I see it before I pay?
Yes. Upload your pet's photo at the top of this page and tap "See your portrait now (free)". A low-resolution, watermarked preview appears on the page, usually in about 30 seconds. If you love it, order it as a digital file (£24), a canvas (£39.99) or 2 canvases (£74.99). If the instant preview is busy, choose the free emailed preview instead: we email it within 1 working day (usually a few hours), and there's nothing to pay.
If you order a canvas, we still check it against your photo before we print. Tell us what to change and we'll remake it free, up to 2 times. If you still don't love it, tell us before we print and we'll refund you in full.
Can you make a portrait of a pet who has died?
Yes. Upload the clearest photo you have. If it isn't clear enough to show your pet faithfully, we'll tell you and ask for another one, or refund you in full.
Can I have two pets in one portrait?
Not at the moment: it's one pet per canvas. For two pets, choose 2 canvases and add a photo for each.
Can you add their name?
Yes, up to 12 characters. We add it ourselves in a clean printed font, exactly as you type it, so please check the spelling.
What size is it?

When will it arrive?
Usually 5–7 working days after you approve your preview, with free delivery to most of Great Britain. For Christmas, please order by 12 December.
What happens to my photo?
We use it only to make, print, deliver and support your order. We won't use it in our marketing or to train image software. Our Privacy notice explains who helps us make your order and how long we keep your photo.
Can I return it?
Not once it's printed, because it's made just for you. That's why you see and approve a preview first. If it arrives damaged or faulty, we'll reprint it or refund you.
Couldn't I just make this with a phone app?
You could try. Getting a version that really looks like your pet may take a few goes. Then the file needs to be big enough to print, and you'd order a canvas and post it. For £39.99 we do all of that: we make it, check it against your photo, print it on canvas with a mounting kit for hanging, and post it to you or straight to them.
Can you send it straight to the person it's for?
Yes. Put their name and address as the delivery address at checkout. There's no receipt or invoice in the parcel. One order goes to one address, so if you order 2 canvases they arrive together.
Can I find cheaper pet portraits elsewhere?
Yes. Lots of shops sell pet prints, some for much less, and some are made by hand. Ours is a 20 × 25 cm canvas made from your photo, checked against your photo before it's printed, and usually delivered within 5–7 working days.
